Lionsgate to host free online movie screenings.

Over the course of four weeks, some of their best films will be available to watch for free on YouTube.

Lionsgate is launching free Friday-night movie screenings on its YouTube channel. Over the course of four weeks, it will make some of its most popular films available to watch for free on the streaming platform. The films that will be streamed are The Hunger Games, Dirty Dancing, La La Land and John Wick. Although the screenings will be free, people are encouraged to make donations to a foundation geared towards providing financial relief to film industry workers affected by the pandemic.

YouTube Music app can now show lyrics on iOS and Android devices.

The web player doesn’t have lyric functionality just yet.

This week, YouTube Music announced that lyric reading functionality is now available on its Android and iOS apps. To see lyrics, users have to open a song and tap the “i” button on the left side of the screen. The lyrics will then appear and sync with the song that is currently playing. Strangely enough, lyric functionality is not available on YouTube Music’s web player yet.
