LootLove will anchor the show from Sunday onwards.

Apple Music 1’s first global African music radio show celebrated its one-year anniversary recently. It has become a popular, go-to music station for many local music-lovers. 

Africa Now Radio will soon get a new host. In a statement, it was announced that LootLove will anchor the programme from Sunday, 13 June onwards. 

The radio show has become known as an influential media player in the music scene, boasting exclusive interviews with the likes of Davido, Nasty C, Tiwa Savage and Rayvanny.

Announcing the news on Instagram, LootLove said, “I am beyond elated to host Africa Now Radio. This is a big moment for the universal language that is music.”

She mentioned that she is particularly excited about the fact that she will be able to shed an international light on the talent from her home country – South Africa. 

“I am looking forward to seeing more, experiencing more and learning more through the beauty of Africa’s music. From the Cape to Cairo and to the rest of the world”, said LootLove.

On her debut episode, LootLove will be joined by Angélique Kidjo, who will talk about her upcoming album “Mother Nature”.

The episode will air this Sunday at 3pm.
