The chatbot will use social media content to learn about the person it has to imitate.

Microsoft recently applied for a patent for a chatbot that can imitate a deceased loved one or celeb. The idea behind this technology is that the chatbot, powered by artificial intelligence, learns about the person it is supposed to copy through their social media channels. From this, they are able to talk and engage with people as if they are that person. Microsoft’s head of AI has said that there are no plans to develop the chatbot right now, but it could happen in the future. The patent was filed in 2017 already and only approved now.
