Microsoft says it may be pushed back until end-April 2021
The demand for Xbox Series X and Series S is so high and the Covid-19 restrictions so strict that Microsoft has had to delay shipping of their new consoles. The new consoles hit the market on 10 November, but shipping dates for some Amazon pre-orders were pushed back until later in November or December. Microsoft apologised to gamers for not being able to get consoles out fast enough. The delays are apparently set to continue until April 2021.
