It’s the first time in 33 years that the festival will be held virtually.
The Standard Bank Jazz Festival is one of the most established festivals in South Africa. For 33 years, it has been hosted in Grahamstown as part of the Grahamstown National Arts Festival. This year is the first time in history that it is forced to go online, due to the prohibition on public gatherings. Fans are able to buy tickets to the virtual event now. During 25 June – 5 July, artists such as Jacob Collier, Linda Sikhaakhane and Thandiswa Mazwai can be streamed through the event’s broadcasting link.
