Italian architects have come up with the idea of using containers to add intensive care units to hospitals to help fight the coronavirus.

wo Italian architects have come up with a solution to Italy’s shortage of intensive care units for those suffering from Covid-19. Carlo Ratti and Italo Rota produced a design plan that uses containers that have been converted to ICU pods to extend hospitals. The aim of these pods are that they are easy to install and cost-effective. The first prototypes are being installed at a hospital in Milan. If it is successful, it will be rolled out to other hospitals in the country.
